Philosophy
The program’s philosophy is to provide a program that offers a challenging and supportive environment where children can explore, create and question without fear of failure. The staff is to facilitate by helping the child to become independent, build their self-esteem, improve their confidence and try their hand at problem solving in the hope of preparing the children for a positive attitude toward society and the school years ahead of them.
The goal of the San Jacinto Unified School District Head Start/State Preschool Early Childhood Programs is to provide quality education by meeting the needs of the children and their families enrolled in Head Start/State Preschool programs.
The programs will offer a developmentally appropriate curriculum that enhances social, emotional, creative, physical and cognitive growth. The curriculum will address the cultural population of those enrolled. Of the total enrolled children, the program will serve a minimum of ten (10) percent special needs children with a curriculum that meets their needs.
