Mission :

3.To demonstrate responsibility to the community through sound fiscal management and open communications.

School Board Goals

1. Highland ISD will be an Exemplary district by 2006-07.
2. The district will ensure that all voters are informed about tax rollback implications at least one month prior to a rollback election.
3. During the 2006-07 school year, the district administration will research options for additional electives for high school students.
4. The district will seek to increase enrollment for the 2006-07 school year while maintaining academic and disciplinary standards.
5. The district will recruit and maintain a quality staff.
6. The district will support efforts to positively influence school funding at the state level.
