History :

Hoisington Historical Society was founded in 1996 but was not active until the recent donation of a house back in December 1999. The building was built in 1905 and has undergone extensive remodeling. Currently, this 6 room, 1 bathroom structure is the home to the Hoisington Historical Museum. On display is a variety of memorabilia showcasing our proud history; from the birth of Hoisington, our many growing pains, our greatest achievements, up to its present day. Highlighting a vibrant history for many of us that call Hoisington home.
