Core Values:
At the foundation of our vision for the Holbrook Public Schools is a set of core
values to guide our planning and decision making:
- Inspiration gives life and meaning to what we do; inspiration for students,
teachers, parents, administrators, and community members is generated by and for
one another.
- Students have a right to expect a safe and nurturing school environment.
- Students have a right to receive a meaningful learning experience that
maximizes their learning potential through a core of basic skills.
- Clear academic and programming focus and priorities in our schools allows
diverse exploration by students that facilitates future direction setting and
career choices for successful living.
- With students' rights come students' responsibilities for self discipline;
respect and appreciation for the diversity of others; and civic responisibility
as active participants in our community.
- The development of self-esteem and strength of character is, in part, the
result of the students' educational experience that consistently demands
excellence.
- To maintain this vision of excellence, the school system must be constantly
engaged in a process of assessment, revision, and renewal.
- Students, parents, teaches, administrators, and community members are all
accountable for the quality of our school system.
