Holy Angels was established in 1866 in what was called Hoge, Kansas, three miles west of the present church, with about 15 families. The first church of stone was replaced at that location with a brick church built in 1911 and renamed St. Patrick. After a fire destroyed this church in 1924, the third church (brick) was built on the northeast corner of 155th and Leavenworth Road, west of the present rectory. In 1961, this church was condemned and torn down. The present church was finished in 1962 and the name "Holy Angels" restored. The present Hall, begun under the leadership of Fr. Quinlan, was dedicated in 1984.There are now more than 560 families registered in the parish.
