Holy Cross Lutheran Church began in October 1962 with 85 adults and 11 children attending a service held at the Silverton Community Club. Our faith, our friendliness and our ministries have caused the church to grow into a family of 1,400 full and associate members. We have lively Sunday School and confirmation programs that nurture our youth as they grow in faith and fellowship along with social, outreach and educational programs for the entire family. We have an extensive music ministry that includes four vocal choirs, three carillons, two liturgical dance choirs, and theater. There is a place for you at Holy Cross!

Pastor Ralph Holmin was called in June 1979 and has successfully nurtured the parish through eight major building programs with members of the congregation contributing their talents to the construction and maintenance of most of the buildings and grounds. Because of our exceptional growth Assistant Pastor Chris Bruesehoff was called in June 2003 to help serve our burgeoning youth population and assist with other ministries. Pastoral Associate John Melin, a retired pastor with expertise in biblical languages, conducts adult bible study classes and healing services.
