Hood Canal Highland Celtic Festival came about with a bunch of like people enjoying great family bbq at the home of the Tom & Sue McDonald.  Every year they sponsored a bbq for friends and family.  He realized it was growing into a bigger event each year it already outgrew his back yard.  He wanted to have a family event and serve adult beverages. Along with some music and vendors. The HOOD CANAL HIGHLAND CLETIC FESTIVAL was born. 

He went to the state to see where a location would fit his vision.  The first annual festival was held at Theler Community Center in Belfair, WA.  But alas his vision grew after 3 year there he out grew this location as well.  He was excited after looking into other sites the Festival  is now at its current location Belfair State Park and has been there for the past 2 year. 

This year will be our 6th annual Festival and we are dedicating this years festivities to our founder Tom McDonald who has moved on to his new adventure in heaven.  Tom was our rock and his son's Bill and Troy and his lovely wife Sue are taking over the reins of this fantastic ride.  

With the help from a wonderful group of amazing and talented volunteers  we are continuing he legacy.
