In 1969 Judge Elizabeth Bass Golding founded Hope For Youth to put an end to unnecessary institutionalization of a “person in need of supervision”(PINS). Today, the mission of Hope For Youth is to assist the children, families and adults who seek our services to acquire the skills, knowledge and behaviors necessary to live independently. Towards this end, the agency will offer and array of residential and community – based services, provided in the least restrictive environment, which are culturally sensitive, professionally staged and which are adapted to meet the changing needs of the clients and communities we serve.
