This month Troy Night Out invites you to stay Winter warm with an array of delicious drinks while shopping, dining and exploring Downtown Troy! Get out and about on Friday, January 26th to support local and explore small businesses in Troy from 5:00pm to 9:00pm and beyond.
January’s Troy Night Out kicks off the new year with “Hot Chocolate Hop” welcoming you to Downtown Troy during this Winter month with one-of-kind Troy-Night-Out-only warm drinks. Meet your local entrepreneurs, enjoy the unique spaces the city has to offer, and hop all along to all the warm spots!
TNO includes many firsts this month with the premiere of a new line of gourmet hot chocolates at Whistling Kettle! Flavors include: Mint hot chocolate, Toffee hot chocolate, Mocha hot chocolate, Lavender white hot chocolate. Come find out what a Snowman Soup is at the new shop Mindful Intentions & Fox Hollow Rustics, offering handmade jewelry, home décor and a special Raffle. Celebrating their first TNO, Wooden Shoe Trading Company will be serving coffee and Adirondack truffles, while you browse their specialty gifts and Upstate-centric goods.
One of Troy’s long-standing vintage shops, Aurora's Boutique, will be offering a classic hot chocolate with marshmallows. Continue hopping down River Street for FunCycled, with Lavendar Hot Chocolate and sales throughout this shop by the Winners of HGTV’s Flea Market Flip!, enjoy hot cider and hidden finds at Artcentric and take advantage of the Hot Chocolate and Hot Sales at Truly Rhe ! In search of a vegan warm drink and a shop carrying over 120 herbs and teas for sale? Try the Vegan Turmeric Golden Milk, with ashwagandha, at Jean's Greens.
Warm up with an extra 20% off winter accessories at River Rocks bead shop, extended hours and yummy treats at Topsy Curvy Boutique, and with 50-60% end of year sales continuing at Bella V Boutique, along with red wine and chocolates. Yummy variations on hot chocolate includes ginger hot chocolate samples at Sunhee's Farm and Kitchen, their popular orange hot chocolate returns at Muddaddy Flats and mocha lattes at The Daily Grind (Troy). Rich Ghirardelli hot chocolate at the Collar City Sweet Shoppe and Spiced Hot Chocolate at Harrison's Corner Market round out some hopping and shopping with warm drinks.

There’s some great one-of-a-kind events kicking off the new year. Before you head out for the night, take advantage of Beauty with Julie at Bar Beauty & Co. and their Hot-Chic-o-late specials! Afterwards, ekologic hosts “Hot Cocoa, Cashmere, and Conversations,” a special gathering in the designer’s shop, Enigmatic Escapes will be offering 10% off TNO reservations, and Couples can Paint ‘n Sip exotic coffees at The Image Gallery Of Troy. Have you ever made chocolate scented t-shirts?! Troy Cloth & Paper returns with a very special Ink & Drink Hot Chocolate Night. Do you want to experience your prom all over again? Takk House’s annual adult prom returns with the theme “Troy Snow Ball ‘84.”
Explorers can discover more with self-guided tours, explaining the science behind the near perfect acoustics, at Troy Savings Bank Music Halll, and learn about the unbuilt highways in the Capital District with “An Evening of Alternative Histories” at the Troy Innovation Garage, welcoming architects, engineers, and urban planners for lively presentations of the past and future of your roadways and river views. Have fun while fighting hunger at Victorious Life Christian Church at their 6th Annual Soup-er Fundraiser, raising money for Provisions Food Pantry and His Table Soup kitchen.
Troy Pop Up celebrates its 2nd Year Anniversary, while Scarlet Seven welcomes “Endless Forms Most Beautiful,” an exhibition of talented painters. See “The Unkown Military” before it closes at The Photography Center of the Capital District, consisting of hundreds of images and personal photo albums.
For 21 and over hopping, enjoy bourbon hot chocolate and dark chocolate brownies from Little pecks, State Coach Porter Floats and red wine hot chocolate at Hudson-Chatham Winery Troy and Special Boozy Mexican Hot Cocoa and International comfort food at The Shop Twenty-Two Second Street Wine Co.. opens its doors with wine tastings of small producers and biodynamic wines until 8pm and The Tavern Bar will be offering happy hour specials and the full Peck's Arcade menu on their 2nd floor.
As with every Troy Night Out there will be live music in different spaces around Downtown, everything from rock, r&b, latin to 80’s. The 3rd Street Shrieks will perform at 7pm at O'Briens Public House, Kids Billy covers rock and 90’s songs at 8:30pm at Troy Kitchen, and you can’t miss the 9pm performance by singer DJ Cole King at Lucas Confectionery. DJ One AyO brings danceable latin and EDM late into the night at Bradleys Tavern while DJ Trumastr wants you to dress up for an 80's throwback dance-off at the new Franklin Alley Social Club.
