Mission:

The Housatonic Valley Art League is a collaborative association of artists and art supporters organized for educational and charitable purposes in order to foster the creation and appreciation of the visual arts in Berkshire County, Massachusetts, and nearby Connecticut and New York, and to cooperate with other area organizations on projects that promote the artistic, historical and cultural heritage of the Upper Housatonic Valley region.

About Us:

The Housatonic Valley Art League is based in the Great Barrington area of southern Berkshire County, Massachusetts.  Formerly the Sheffield Art League, we are a blend of artists old and young, professional and not-yet professional who work together to produce several art shows each year and to host several workshops for artists in various mediums.

Historically, we have been artists working in various fine-art mediums such as oil, watercolor, acrylic, gouache, pastel, drawing, etc. and also sculptors in various 3-dimensional mediums.  In 2017 we expanded our mission to include photographers, so we are excited to be presenting shows that include photographs as well.
