Goals

-Preserve and disseminate knowledge about the prehistory and history of Hurley and its relationship to the surrounding area;

-Collect, preserve and display documents or artifacts that relate to Hurley's prehistory and history;

-Upon request, act as an advisory body to individuals and/or governmental agencies concerning the preservation of the architectural and historic character of the village;

-Help provide for the preservation of historic sites;

-Aid in the research and revival of the folk arts and crafts related to this area;

-Assist in the preservation of the local environment as a heritage of the community;

-Raise funds for these purposes through membership dues, grants and other means deemed appropriate by the Society.
