Our mission is to serve our community by putting Christian principles into practice through programs that build spirit, mind and body.

The Y has been serving our community for 100 years (1906 - 2006) by practicing Christian principles through programs that build spirit, mind and body. The YMCA of Metropolitan Jackson is a not for profit, community service organization opened to people of all ages, all abilities, and all incomes, having given $750,000 in financial assistance in 2005 to fulfill that mission. The Y serves over 20,000 people through eight branches offering fitness programs, after school and day care, youth sports, swimming lessons, teen outreach, youth in government, recreational and seniors programs, as well as many other branch specific services.
