The Lexington-Henderson County Center of Jackson State opened in April 1999, through the cooperation of Jackson State, the City of Lexington, and Henderson County. The center is housed in a modern building located on Hwy 412 East. The facility is equipped with the latest in educational technology. There are computer laboratories, a science laboratory, spacious classrooms, testing facilities, library and learning resource areas.
The center offers an Associate Degree in General Studies as well as an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Industrial Technology (Industrial Supervision Concentration). Other general education courses are also offered that will meet requirements of additional degrees offered through Jackson State main campus or other universities. Both on-line and video courses are available. Specialized courses in continuing education can be tailored to meet the needs of the community.
