The Jefferson County Sportsmen’s Association (JCSA) operates a shooting range near the beautiful Victorian seaport town of Port Townsend, Washington. We’re located on a 40-acre parcel at 112 Gun Club Road just south of the city and operate by special license with Jefferson County. The gun club has been providing safe shooting sport activities since 1962 in the same location including Trap Shooting, Pistol, Rifle and Archery.
Scheduled activities include; twice-weekly Trap shoots, twice-monthly Action Pistol meets, monthly NRA/CMP sanctioned high-power rifle matches, monthly Light Rifle competition and a wilderness trail for weekly archery practice. These events are open for public participation with a nominal match fee.
Besides catering to the shooting interests of its more than 500 active and supporting members from all over the Olympic Peninsula, Jefferson County Sportsman’s Association also provides accommodations for the training and qualifications of several law enforcement agencies including the City Police, County Sheriff, Parks Services, Coast Guard, DEA, area security guard services, and many others. JCSA provides training facilities for National Rifle Association firearms safety and shooting programs and the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife’s Hunter Education programs. We also reserve range and classroom facilities for many law enforcement agencies to train and qualify their officers. In addition, we sponsor a Junior rifle team with most of its members coming from Port Angeles to participate in the high-power rifle practice sessions.
JCSA is affiliated with the National Rifle Association (NRA), the Washington State Rifle and Pistol Association, the Pacific International Trap shooting Association, the Civilian Marksmanship Program and other national and international shooting sport associations.
