King Elementary school was opened September 8, 1981. Ms. Yolanda King visited our school the next year to dedicate the building in honor of her father, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. King Elementary School is a great school that is supported with wonderful parent volunteers. The parents are often seen in the school volunteering in classrooms, the library and working for the P.T.O. At King we believe that the family is very important in the success of each of our students. This is why we all believe that it is "All about the Kids".


At King Elementary we offer the students Chess Club and Ecology Club, Reading Buddies and School bank experience. The students at King are very involved in both academic and extra curricular activities.
