History:
The Kiwanis Club of Liberty Lake is a community service organization started in the fall of 2001 and incorporated on August 6, 2002. The first meeting place was the Peppertree Inn. In September 2002, the club moved to the Denny Ashlock Building (Liberty Lake Sewer and Water District Building). In December 2004, the club moved once again, to its current meeting place at the new Liberty Lake City Hall on Country Vista Blvd.
Although not a social club, fellowship and friendships are created and encouraged. The Kiwanis Club of Liberty Lake, as with all Kiwanis Clubs, is not associated with any religious or political organization. We believe that as a group we can accomplish more than as individuals.
Although the Kiwanis Club of Liberty Lake is a relatively new club, we have already made a significant impact in our community and the surrounding area. We have an enduring commitment to serve the needs of our community's young people and stand ready to address other unmet needs as well. We sponsor a K-Kids Club at Liberty Lake Elementary, a Key Club at Barker High School and are expecting to form a Builders Club at Greenacres Middle School. We have 48 members at present, people from all walks of life: business owners, professionals, corporate managers, retirees, and more. Membership in our Kiwanis club provides us opportunities to develop new friendships as we help to make our community a better place.
