Kiwanis Club of St. Johnsbury Vt. was founded in 1930 . From a small but enthusiastic membership the club has grown and includes 55 members today. Over the years, the club has served the greater St. Johnsbury comunity in many ways and the community has responded by strongly supporting the Kiwanis Club and its youth programs.The Club's proudest moment came Juky 23rd, 1944 when the community pool project culminated in the opening of a 325,00 gallon swimming pool providing a safe enviroment to swim. The Kiwanis club proudly led the community effort to build the pool and the Club has operated the pool for 60 years providing free swimming lessons for all children from all areas.The club helps out in the community in a variety of other ways.
