About Us:

The Knightwind Ensemble is an adult Milwaukee area musical group composed of approximately 65 musicians, from all walks of life, who volunteer their time for the love of music. Performances include a diverse musical repertoire, ranging from classic chamber pieces to contemporary full wind band literature.

The Ensemble is proud to have been host to numerous guest soloists and conductors, and has premiered two commissioned pieces, Imprints (Timothy Mahr), and Tears (David Maslanka). 

 In the Fall of 2005, Knightwind was awarded the prestigious Sudler Silver Scroll Award presented by the Sousa Foundation to community bands that have demonstrated particularly high standards of excellence in concert activities, and have played a significant role in the cultural and musical environment of their respective communities.
