Mission:
Laguna Hills High School nurtures the interrelationship of students, staff, parents and the community, our Hawk Family. Our school embraces all of the stakeholders in the education process. It is the mutual respect, trust and encouragement of all these educational participants that defines the continued success of LHHS. Our vision/mission statement focuses the efforts of all involved and provides the common goal to which we all aspire.
Vision:
The Hawk Pride vision includes all students, staff, parents and the community in providing each student with the academic skills, knowledge and values needed to become active and contributing members of society. To this end, stakeholders in the education process will:
- Provide for all students a safe, caring supportive and inviting environment to encourage a sense of ownership in all aspects of the school community.
- Promote appreciation and respect for the diverse cultures, varying physical abilities, and unique talents of the staff, students and individuals in the community
- Develop the skills necessary to become life-long learners
- Encourage involvement in co-curricular activities for the enhancement of a well-rounded school experience
- Provide a balanced curriculum that meets the needs of all students
- Develop our students’ decision-making and critical thinking skills through a variety of instructional approaches and activities
- Offer experience across all disciplines in listening, speaking, reading and writing, incorporating the use of computer and other technology, in order to further develop communication skills
- Increase opportunities for inter-disciplinary study and cross-curricular experiences
- Expand opportunities for student, staff, parents, and the community to become active participants in school life.
