We are an intentionally Gospel centered church dedicated to living for the glory of God.
We exist to glorify God through the advancement of His kingdom by means of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Practically lived out through evangelism of our community and discipleship of our members.
Our History
Our church had its beginnings back in March of 1978 as a home bible study. Shortly after that, the baby church moved their meetings out on the lake... in a tour boat no less. Soon, after outgrowing the boat and in need of shelter, the church used the Lake Shastina Property Owners Cabana for their meetings. As time went on, the church grew into still larger quarters and finally, in 1989, the present building was completed.
The very early church was named "Chapel by the Lake". After leaving the shoreline, the church was renamed and then, in 1989, incorporated as the Lake Shastina Community Bible Church.
During the first decade of the new millenium LSCBC struggled to find its identity. Seasons of joy would turn to seasons of mourning as the church bounced from pastor to pastor.
Today the church has found its identity as a gospel centered reformed baptist congregation committed to living for the glory of God.
