Lansing Rod and Gun Club was formed and incorporated in 1955 by a small group of hunters, fisherman and clay target shooters. From our humble beginnings we have grown to include 150 members and an expanded facility. The same interests and concerns of our founding fathers is still foremost in our minds as we have evolved over the years and participated in such as activities as:
Trap Shooting
Rifle/Pistol Shooting
Pheasant Raising/Release
Fish Stocking
Stream Improvement
Hunter Safety Programs for Gun and Archery
Responsible Gun Ownership and Safety for Youth
Successful Walleye Rear and Stocking Effort
Rod Building and Fly Fishing Seminars
College Scholarships for High School Students
Charitable Gifts for Worthy Causes
Community Involvement
These are just a few of the things we do. The list goes on and on...
The rustic log clubhouse fits the landscape perfectly as it is situated on 160 beautiful acres of woodlands and meadows surrounded by hills. Salmon Creek gently winds through the property to create the perfect setting. A large fireplace will welcome you on those chilly days/nights. There is always an open invitation to join us by the fire.
We are an ATA registered club and hold registered events annually. The club proudly maintains two trap fields equipped with PAT traps and CVR Voice release systems. Both fields are capable of doubles, handicap to 27 yards and are lighted for night shooting. We are continuously striving to improve our facility and expand our services.
Stop by when you are in the area! There are no strangers there, just friends you haven't met yet!
