The Leavenworth Public Schools Education Foundation was formed as a way of supporting educational efforts in the Leavenworth community that might not otherwise become a reality.

The Foundation is a non-profit charitable foundation supported by individuals, organizations, and local business persons who seek to expand the learning opportunities within their community.

There are four main goals of a Board of Education: establish clear policy for a school system; set short and long term goals for the system; select and evaluate the superintendent; and hold the superintendent accountable for accomplishing the goals of the district.
