About Us:

Our roots go way back to 1954 when a small, but determined group of Christ-followers saw the need for a solid, Biblically-based church in Wauconda. They especially desired to create a church that would meet the needs of children and teens, which is still true today.

When Life Bridge Community Church (formerly Evangelical Free Church of Wauconda) began, the community was a sleepy rural resort town known for its beaches and apple orchard. Today, Wauconda is a suburb on the northwestern edge of Chicago’s urban sprawl, yet we still maintain our small, resort town feel.

Today we are even more dedicated to helping people, especially families, experience life change through a dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ. Our passion is to take the good news of Jesus Christ to the city and world.

Our church is a member of the Evangelical Free Church of America.  The Evangelical Free Church of America is an association of autonomous churches united around common theological convictions.
