In 1994, the Rotary Club of Lincolnton had a dream to provide low interest loans to help families of Lincoln County. Immediately the Rotary Club of Denver-Lake Norman took on the challenge and joined forces. As did the newest Rotary Club in Lincoln County, the Rotary Club of Lincolnton-Sunrise.

Today the loan program is a reality. Since 1994, more than 700 individual low interest loans have been provided to residents of Lincoln County.

The loan program is a reality due to the generosity of businesses and individuals throughout Lincoln County. Money is raised each year through an Annual Auction and through cash contributions to the Century Club.

But the work continues. The Rotary Clubs of Lincoln County need donated items, goods or services to continue the dream. Vehicles, trips, accommodations, homes, consumer products, tickets, merchandise, professional services, gift certificates, and countless other items that can be sold at our live televised auction, silent auction, general store, golf store and cafe - all of these can help us to further our goal....to encourage all students who have attended high school in Lincoln County or who now reside in Lincoln County, NC to continue their education by attending a post-high school educational institution with the assistance of low interest Rotary student loans.
