Little River is a charming community in central Kansas that is big on everything that matters: an enduring sense of pride, strong schools with winning athletic programs, and a dynamic business climate that enriches the community. Many things have changed since the community was founded in 1880, but proudly, many things have not. The Kansas values that built Little River, hard work, fair play, and concern for neighbors, are alive and well and perhaps offer the best evidence of why Little River has prospered for more than 130 years.

Little River is located in eastern Rice, [RC], County near the Little Arkansas River. The old brick Burke Hotel still anchors Main Street even though the hospital across from it has been torn down. This is a town with a lot of civic pride. Downtown is clean and neat with new sidewalks and well-painted buildings; Alber Park at Main & Prairie offers a new gazebo to check over the area.
