Since 1920, Lodi Community Hospital has provided quality, community based health care to southwest Medina County and portions of Lorain, Ashland and Wayne Counties. Lodi Community Hospital became a member of the Akron General Health System in 2000, providing its patients with an excellent avenue to advanced and specialized care when needed. Governed by a voluntary board of community leaders, the hospital is a fully accredited 25-bed Critical Access Hospital (CAH).
The hospital provides acute and skilled care, a full range of outpatient diagnostic and therapeutic services, rehabilitation and physical therapy services, as well as numerous community programs and services. The 24-hour emergency department is staffed by physicians specially trained in emergency care. The hospital is also a base for MedFlight of Ohio, which provides around-the-clock helicopter transportation for critically ill or injured patients from hospital to hospital or from accident scene to hospital. Ambulance service is also available around-the-clock.
