Long Island Ballet Academy & Dance is based on renowned Vaganova Method of classical ballet training . The Vaganova method is one of the main training techniques of classical ballet. The students follow a graded syllabus that was developed by Aggrippina Vaganova (1871-1951), a principal dancer at the Maryinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg.
Vaganova's method has become the foremost method, and has trained ballet stars such as Natalia Makarova, Rudolf Nureyev and Mikhail Baryshnikov. Students of this Sea Ciff, Long Island, Ballet School receive a unique education. They are enhanced by tradition of the classical ballet, and are given a strong base and artistic excellence,allowing them to expand into other styles of Modern Dance.
