Longview Council 2771
About Our Council
The first meeting of Longview Council 2771 was called to order by District Deputy J. M. Dillon on December 21st, 1936. The 40 charter members of the council elected the following officers; Grand Knight W. J. Flahie, Deputy Grand Knight C. E. Overly, Chancellor T. V. McGannon, Recorder Cletus Tishe, Financial Secretary R. P. Hargis, Treasurer M. A. Reinberger, Lecturer T. F. Vanderlain, Advocate R. J. Hardey, Warden C. E. Burdick, Inside Guard L. I. Mistrot, Outside Guard Martin Moren, Trustee 3 Year G. E. Sweeney, Trustee 2 Year Jesse Cravens, Trustee 1 Year Phil Joram. Rev J. P. Callahan, Pastor of St. Anthony's Church, was appointed Chaplain. The Council home was dedicated May 4, 1952. Council 2771 currently has 122 Brothers from St. Anthony's, St. Mathew's and St. Teresa's Churches on its roster and has remained in good standing since its beginning.
