About Madison Middle School
Madison is dedicated to preparing middle school students for success in high school. The community supports this vision and holds high expectations for students to be competitive in the high school honors program. Founded in 1994 in response to grassroots outcry for a neighborhood middle school, Madison has a tradition of active community and parent involvement. From the onset, the community, staff, and students have worked together to create a safe, nurturing, and energetic environment. Learning continues beyond the school day as the committed staff provides tutoring and extracurricular activities to ensure success for all students.
Madison Middle School is located in north San Diego County on the border of Vista and Oceanside. It is the newest of four middle schools in the Vista Unified School District. This award winning facility (2004 Leroy F. Greene Design Award), California Distinguished Schools recipient and a National Blue Ribbon School services 1329 students. Madison has a 10 year tradition of academic excellence due to our dedicated staff and supportive community. Our staff is committed to professional development to stay current on the latest educational practices, and to prepare our students for the demands of technology, literacy, and citizenship in real world experiences. Parents are an integral part of the successes of our school. Their support is evidenced on a daily basis from classroom volunteers to policy making on district committees and Madison’s School Site Council.
