Most people know by now that the track has changed hands, but I’d like to briefly introduce Katie Lotsberg and myself (Kevin Jewer) as the new owners. We’ve both been drag racing for about 20 years, and moved out here from New England for the sole purpose of taking on this challenge. Katie has worked in various automotive industry roles, has owned two businesses and breeds Australian Shepherds. I spent 15-20 years working technical positions in the Semiconductor industry, until Intel closed my plant in 2015 and we opened a performance/tuning shop in NH. I did bring my “shop” out here with me, including the dyno, which I’ll set up at some point and make available to people. But the track is our priority.
It will take some time and effort, but we have a lot of repairs and upgrades planned for the track. As mentioned in other posts, we’ve been hanging around here since about July and have a good idea of the current state of the track. Planned projects include upgrading the racing surface, barriers, safety and fire fighting equipment, PA, lighting, timing system, the list goes on. These will be prioritized and tackled in order, as we can afford to do so, without interrupting track up time wherever possible. We intend to be open every possible chance, which is essential to getting these things done. We’ll also be gradually expanding the schedule to include a variety of new events.
Stay tuned for regular updates both here and on our facebook page, we’ll keep everyone informed on progress. We intend to communicate regularly and if you message us on this site, it will be answered. All proceeds from the track will be going back into the facility until these updates are done, and we appreciate everyone’s support! We look forward to seeing you in April!
