The Martha's Vineyard Book Festival, now in its sixth year, is a celebration of the rich literary heritage of Martha's Vineyard and the many authors who find inspiration on this beautiful island. Held every other summer on the first weekend of August beginning in 2005, the book festival shines a spotlight on the island and its creativity. It provides the opportunity for authors and readers to meet, to engage with one another in a relaxed and beautiful setting and to allow each to find new meaning in their work and discover new works.
