The Mat-Su Valley is the fastest growing region of the state. Named after two rivers, the Matanuska and Susitna Rivers, the Mat-Su Valley is a region of south central Alaska with the "core area" consisting of the cities of Palmer and Wasilla. Positioned between Anchorage and Denali National Park & Preserve, the Mat- Su Valley is easily accessible and offers a wide variety of activities and lodging options.
