Matapeake Elementary School (MES) is the newest of eight elementary schools in Queen Anne’s County. It is located at 651 Romancoke Road in Stevensville, Maryland and houses approximately 535 students in grades pre-kindergarten through five. MES primarily serves those families living on Route 8 south of Route 50/301.

The mission of the faculty and staff of Matapeake Elementary is to positively impact the future of our country and promote life long learning.

We will reach our mission by working collaboratively with all members of our school community to educate and motivate children to be independent learners.

We will help our students achieve their full potential and prepare them for the world as responsible citizens.
