Mike And Clare's Farm
Mike & Clare's Farm is a family farm in Northern Illinois. We are focused on making sustainable farming sustainable. We limit our use of agriculture cloth, we don't use plastic mulch, and we reuse plastic drip tape. We use minimal tillage methods of cultivation to maintain soil structure and limit our dependence on fossil fuels. All of that being said, we haven't achieved a footprint-less farm, and it will be a long, long time before we even get close, but we are attempting to achieve a level of balance.

While we continue to grow some hybrid vegetable varieties, each year we will test out more heirlooms and hope to only grow open-pollinated varieties in the near future. Our current heirloom favorites: Decisso broccoli, yellow perfection tomatoes, and crook-neck squash.
