Minka Farm
Minka Farm is a young family farm using sustainable, earth-friendly practices to raise pastured, heritage breed chickens and ducks for eggs, pastured beef, vegetables and orchard fruit. As a family, we decided that a strong connection to the land and the example of a good work ethic are important for ourselves. We are constantly learning about how best to keep our soil healthy and our animals happy while we grow our products for ourselves and our customers.

We're gearing up for our 2011 CSA season, scheduled to begin in a couple of months. With this unseasonably warm weather, we may even need to start early! Contact us now to reserve your share of our market garden - the greens are growing at an alarming rate and the asparagus should be up soon.

Minka Farm wants to be your farmer! We grow our vegetables the only way that makes sense - without chemical fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides, relying on nature to provide us with what we need.

We have planned a delicious year of veggies, which includes (in season) heirloom tomatoes of many varieties, bell peppers, okra, salad greens, dark leafy greens, broccoli, green beans, corn, potatoes, sweet potatoes, beets, cucumbers, squashes and carrots to name a few.

Members pick up their shares in front of the Whole Foods Market in Chapel Hill, NC. In addition to the CSA produce, we will have any available eggs (duck or chicken), beef, pork and available orchard fruit for sale in season.
