The Miss Central Pageant is a local preliminary pageant whose winners advance to Miss Pennsylvania and Miss Pennsylvania's Outstanding Teen. Contestants compete on-stage in Talent, Evening Wear, Lifestyle and Fitness (Swimuit for Miss and Active Wear for Teens, and On-Stage Question. In addition they compete in a private interview with the panel of judges. If there are enough contestants in the pageant 3 Miss Titles - Miss Central Pennsylvania, Miss Greater Juniata Valley and Miss Freedom Forge - and 3 Teen titles - Miss Central Pennsylvania's Outanding Teen, Miss Greater Juniata Valley's Outstanding Teen and Miss Freedom Forge are awarded at the Miss Central Pennsylvania Pageant. All titles except Miss Freedom Forge are open to residents, full-time students or full-time workers in Pennsylvania. The Miss Freedom Forge tilte is consiedred a "closed" pageant and as such is for contestants in Centre, Huntigdon, Juniata, Mifflin, Snyder and Union Counties.
