                Mission Viejo Supports Joplin, Missouri

Mission Viejo--  Mission Viejo Activities Committee has raised over $8,500 for the victims and survivors of Joplin, Missouri.  They are pushing to raise $10,000 and need your support.

 

On May 22, 2011 an EF5 tornado hammered the city of Joplin, MO (population 50,000) killing 160 people.  In about 30 minutes there lives were shattered and about a third of the city was destroyed.  It was a 6-mile trail of devastation and destruction.

 

According to Margot Ferron, Fundraising Campaign Manager for the project there are several ways you can still donate.  "Dog Daze of Summer" consists of several $200 gift baskets you could win.   You can bid on them at the Norman Murray Community Center.  One basket, "Angel Heaven" consists of 10, Angel baseball tickets.  Also, enjoy a night of mouthwatering food at Ruby's in the Mission Viejo Mall.  With a flyer they will donate 20% of all food sales to the effort.
