The Mohawk Valley Astronomical Society (MVAS), serving Central New York State’s Mohawk Valley and the surrounding areas since 1989, is a non-profit organization formed exclusively for educational and scientific purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The organization is dedicated to advancing the study, understanding, and appreciation of astronomy among its members and encouraging the public’s awareness of matters related to astronomy.
