In the Monticello Independent School District, we have a past filled with tradition, a present filled with possibilities, and a future filed with excellence.  Our school has existed since 1905 and has long been known for excellence in our academic programs and success in the area of athletics.  We offer a small school setting that manifests a family-like atmosphere. Great educational opportunities occur at Monticello Independent School, where we pursue academic excellence and a sense of community pride. We begin at an early age with our four-year old program and continue until grade 12. Our goal is to enable each student to realize his/her potential in a supportive, nurturing, and caring atmosphere. We are proud of all our students and feel that we are a school of choice due to our outstanding educational, athletic, and extra curricular opportunities. Our faculty and staff provide many one-on-one educational opportunities. We employ researched based teaching/learning strategies through cooperative efforts between all involved in our students' education. We hold our students to the highest expectations, and challenge our students to build a strong academic foundation, to make good choices, and to prepare for all future endeavors.
