About Us:

Moors End Farm was founded by Steve and Sue Slosek in the mid-1970s as a self-serve farmstand where they sold the extra vegetables from their garden. Since then the farm has grown to include a nursery/greenhouse operation that sells annuals, perennials, and small shrubs, and a produce farm with 20 acres under cultivation. The farm is still family owned and their children, Sam and Abby (pictured on the right with two of their kids), have joined the business.

We have worked hard to adapt to the unique growing conditions on Nantucket. The native soils tend to be acidic, sandy loam and clay loam with little organic matter. Over the years we have nurtured our soils through liming, crop rotation, cover cropping, composting, and fertility management. As a result, we have been able to create a fertile soil, which allows us to offer a diverse array of produce.
