We welcome your visit for any Sunday morning, Sunday evening or Wednesday evening service. We offer a Sunday School class for any age, nursery available for every service, Christian training and development studies weekly, evangelistic, Bible-centered messages and a mission-minded ministry.

History

Mount Home Baptist Church was organized the 25th day of May, 1873. A number of ministers have served here and several buildings have been constructed since the original "log church." Projects such as the "Sweet Potato Group" in 1944, were formed to raise money to rock-veneer the frame church and build a parsonage.

Tracts of land were donated by members of the community to raise sweet potatoes. The potatoes were sold with the proceeds given to the church. Pigs, calves, butter and eggs were also sold to help with the expense of this project. 

There have been numerous note burning ceremonies as the congregation paid for new buildings. It has always been dedicated members giving faithfully of their time and talents to help expand for a growing congregation.

On May 20, 2007 the current worship center was dedicated. Mount Home Baptist Church has celebrated a rich history. Through good and bad times, the doors have stayed open to serve God, to reach out to the community and to make the dreams of it's founders come true.
