Vision and Mission:
MSAD No. 21 envisions itself as a collaborative learning community, continually striving for excellence, by providing a curriculum that is coordinated, diverse, and adaptive and by providing its students with skills, knowledge and aspirations to make productive choices. To achieve its vision, the district will:
- Deliver a diverse curriculum to meet the learning styles and intelligences of all students.
- Provide challenging instruction and assessment so that students not only master basic skills, but also achieve academic standards as set out in the State of Maine Learning Results.
- Maintain a safe, nurturing environment where all are treated with dignity and respect so that each student may become a healthy, self-confident, tolerant citizen.
- Promote enthusiasm and curiosity for lifelong learning and teach the methodology to gather, interpret, analyze, and integrate new ideas and skills.
- Teach a knowledge of human civilization and culture so that students may understand and accept their roles as global stewards and citizens.
