About Us
A vase that holds a lifetime's worth of flowers, a festive platter brought out for holiday meals, or a favorite bowl to enhance the healing properties of chicken soup-these treasured objects hold stories, memories, events, and emotions in the defiance of the passing of time.
"Let the beauty we love be what we do"-Rumi.
My childhood memories of my mother's antique tea cup collection are as important to my work as the influences of traveling to see the elaborate mosaic tile floors of Florence, the improbably ornate domes of St Basil's Cathedral in Moscow, and the ironwork of the French Quarter in New Orleans. The cultural influences seen in my pottery are grounded in the common art of making objects that resonate with everyday life. - Sandra West.
