Festival visionary, and local OBX business owner, Mike Dianna, dreamed up this righteous festival that is steadily growing.  The Event Director seeks to produce a festival that musicians want to play; an event where vendors have a blast while making a profit; where sponsors not only have a fantastic time entertaining their clients, friends and families, but also leave them wanting to support the event annually; a festival where patrons and fans await the next year the moment that they step off of the site; an event which benefits one of the region's most sacred assets, the Corolla Wild Horses.  This vision has been upheld as the mission of the Mustang Music Festival, founded in 2010.
