Mission Statement

The mission of the Myakka City Fire District is to defend human life and property from the threat of fire, environmental hazards, natural disasters and medical emergencies by providing prompt emergency response, professional and trained personnel, state of the art equipment, fire prevention and public information in a safe and cost effective manner to serve the citizens within the Myakka City Fire District.

The Myakka City Fire District was established in 1984, created by the Manatee County Board of Commission as a Dependant Fire District. The Myakka City Fire District responds to over 500 emergency incidents of all types within our 230 square mile Fire District annually. We also provide mutual aid to other Fire Districts as required. We strive to provide the most professional service to our community possible.
