Principal Kelly’s Message


There is an intangible quality of Nantucket High School that is

composed of school spirit and pride. This spirit and pride shows

itself in many ways, such as membership in athletic teams,

participation in the music and drama programs, and involvement in

student government, class activities and community service.

However, school spirit and pride mean much more than taking part

in school activities and programs. They show in the sense of

responsibility that students demonstrate to their high school, their

community and themselves. This awareness of responsibility

manifests itself first in academic achievement, individual student

growth and maturity, and in good school citizenship. Nantucket

High School is a successful school because we are a TEAM

(Together Everyone Achieves More): students, faculty, staff,

families, and community working together for quality education.
