Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a popular way for consumers to buy local, seasonal food directly from a farmer like us, Natural Earth Farms. We have been farming for more than 15 years when we started on our own in 2008 at a 10acre farmland in Calverton, NY. We offer a certain number of "shares" to the public every harvest season. It is a pre-paid share of fresh, organically grown produce that our farm will harvest for weekly pickups. This arrangement creates rewards for both of us, Natural Earth Farms and you the CSA member. CSA will help support our farm with revenues early in the season to purchase our organic seeds and fertilizer and helps us with any other pre-season expenses.

CSA is good for you, the members, as you will receive and eat fresh organic and local grown produce with all the flavor and vitamin benefits; get introduced to new vegetables and new ways of cooking; develop a relationship with your farmer who grows the food you put on the table; know exactly where the food you consume came from and learn more about it. For 26 weeks we will harvest 1 Box per week of naturally and organically grown, local and fresh in season produce that will consists of 6 - 10 items. The box is adequate to meet the produce needs of 2 to 4 people for the week. Partial shares (1/2 box) are also available that will contain less quantity and might be less variety than the standard share. Rates will vary depending on your share. First harvest date, pick-up schedule and location will be released in February 2011.

Natural Earth Farms is a Certified Naturally Grown 10-acre produce farm located in Calverton, NY. It is owned and operated by Marie and Anthony Panarello. Anthony has been into farming for more than 15years when he and Marie decided to start their own produce farm in 2008. The farm started its business selling wholesale to local farm stands and restaurants in Eastern Suffolk.

In 2010, Natural Earth Farms was certified for growing naturally. Certified Naturally Grown (CNG) is an alternative certification program tailored for direct market farmers like us, [b[Natural Earth Farms, who use natural methods. CNG is a non-profit organization not affiliated with the US Department of Agriculture or its agencies that offers an alternative to the Certified Organic Label.

We will provide our best efforts to maximize the value of your weekly share. Excluding any major inclement weather issue, we promise to provide you with an abundant weekly supply of delicious, organic produce that will please you. In the event of crop failure, we will supplement that crop with local grown produce
