New Classes!
Fairytale Ballet: A class for every girl who is a princess at heart. Students will navigate through a ballet curriculum with the use of props such as wands and flowers. Students are so enchanted by the magical fun they don’t even realize how much they are learning about ballet
Funky Creative Ballet: Ballet with a twist! Little ones are exposed to classical ballet movement and terminology while listening to upbeat music that will really get their tutus shaking. Who wouldn’t want to do plies to Call Me Maybe? This is a lively fun class for kids with energy to burn. Ballet is the base of the class but is presented to students in a more laid back freestyle way to let them explore the art of dance.
Conditioning/Ballet Barre: Inspired by ballet, this work out encourages good posture, lean muscles and improves flexibility. Combining methods of Pilates, yoga and dance focusing on all movement by engaging your core. It’s a total body work out! Muscle groups are worked one at a time to build strength and stamina and then stretched to avoid bulk. It gives you the freedom to work at your own pace and is easily modified to each individual.
Musical Theatre: This weekly class is open to all skill levels and will focus on basic musical theater skills including acting, singing and dancing! Participants will learn to create a character, incorporating voice, movement and their imaginations. They will learn about basic scene work and blocking. They will hone their vocal skills, learning proper breath, diction and vocal projection. Actors will gain both confidence and theatre technique as they work individually and as part of an acting ensemble. This class will be offered as 2 separate 10 week sessions culminating in a live performance at the studio for family and friends
Gymnastic Dance: This weekly class is designed to incorporate all styles of dance technique and choreography for students currently enrolled or proficient in gymnastics level II and higher to enhance their ability and combine these two complimentary art forms.
