Mission Statement

The New York State College of Ceramics, a statutory college consisting of a school of art and design, a school of engineering and a special library, educates students and conducts undergraduate and graduate research in the fields of art, engineering and science.  This environment promotes the unique synergies related to materials and their applications as media of artistic expression and engineering function for the broader benefit of society.  The College serves the educational and business sectors of New York State through its specialized research, information resources and outreach programs.  It maintains the faculty, facilities and educational environment necessary to carry out the main mission.
