Nexus Academy is steeped in the belief that all students can further develop their academic and social skills, and benefit from emotional support. We offer standards-based instruction and simultaneously work to respond to individualized areas of growth for students in all subjects.

Students participate in team building activities, group-work, and class discussions. Staff and students work together to build a respectful environment to promote a strong sense of community. Individualized services such as counseling are made available to support student success in all aspects of life.

Additionally, a strong “Career Tiered Advancement Program” is in place to prepare students for opportunities after graduation.

One of the main goals of Nexus Academy is to assist its students in reentering a comprehensive school program. We have worked diligently to develop a system to respond to the diverse needs of our student population. However, the best possible outcomes will be the result of a collaborative approach among school and district staff, parents, and students. Communication will be central to this collaborative approach. Therefore, the staff will make every effort to communicate with you to ensure development of the necessary skills for students to re-enter the comprehensive system or graduate, following the anticipated timeline.
